The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property was formed in 1985 and the group’s activity takes place within the International Association of the same name. The association operates with its primary objective of developing, improving and harmonizing the international protection of Intellectual Property.
Having its head office in Switzerland, AIPPI is a politically neutral, non-profit organization which currently has over 9000 Members representing more than 100 countries. The association is establishes with the intention and ambition to improve and promote the protection of intellectual property on a National and International level. With over 700 reports and resolutions being published and passed around the world, AIPPI has had a major influence on the development of International IP laws.
The consortium revolves around IP laws and hence individuals interested in intellectual property protection on a national or international level become members of the association. AIPPI discusses and works on issues relating to IP laws on national and international bases in small groups and in plenary sessions, interspersed with social functions and provide an excellent opportunity for members to meet and build personal and professional relationships.
