Vidisha Garg is a partner at Anand and Anand. Vidisha has been actively involved in the field of Patents for the last sixteen years. Vidisha has dual post graduate degree in Organic Chemistry and Law from University of Lucknow. She was also actively involved in research in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and has authored research papers in journals of international repute. She was also a recipient of the TIFAC (DST, Government of India) Scholarship for training in IPR.
Thereafter, she became a patent agent in 2004 and joined Anand and Anand and since then has been involved in patent prosecution and contentious practice of the firm. In a span of about sixteen years, she has represented her clients in several pre grant and post grant patent opposition matters. Vidisha also handles patent revocation matters before IPAB. She was involved in the Tykerb revocation matter, India’s first NCE revocation case. Her practice areas also include providing opinions and strategies on patent laws in India, drafting of patent specifications, patent searches, validity, patentability, and infringement opinions. She also advises her clients on issues relating to protection of national biodiversity. She has been the author of articles in various publications such as Managing Intellectual Property, WIPR and LSIPR, etc.
